“Seek the Lord while He

may be found;

call on Him while

He is near.”

Isaiah 55:6

Seek.... Worship

Worship is the heart of the church. It is during Sunday worship that we are able to connect with God and with each other in meaningful ways. At Wilmore Christian Church, the Sunday services are planned with that knowledge in mind, celebrating both the familiar traditions of Protestant churches and contemporary elements that help to keep our worship relevant to today.

The people of God have always joined together in joyful praise to God. Every service at WCC begins with a Call to Worship from scripture helping worshippers to focus their thoughts on God. Music is lively and joyful, with the first song always being one of praise to our great God.

The word of God says it best in Psalm 100:1-3:

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness
come before Him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is He who made us, and we are His;
we are His people, the sheep of His pastu

The Bible tells us to "bear one another's burdens"  (Galatians 6:2), Opportunity is always given in worship services to voice your concerns for friends and loved ones.  We pray together under the pastor's leadership, joining our voices before the throne of God in intercession.

In the Christian Church tradition, communion is celebrated each week, honoring the commandment of our Lord, "This do in remembrance of Me" (Luke 22:9. Also part of our tradition is that the Lord's Supper may be celebrated with us not only by members, but by anyone who has professed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor Dale's messages always come from the Word of God, and they are preached from the heart. His messages always have a challenge to the body of Christ to live what they believe.

Messages may be expository (explaining what specific Bible passages mean and how they apply to living), or topical (sharing what the Bible has to say on a specific, timely subject).

Most importantly, everyone hopes that when someone attends worship services at Wilmore Christian Church, they leave strengthened and empowered to live victoriously.
